Becky Sue Harwood

Disciple, Wife, Mom, Grandma, Writer, Grateful, Loved.

After more than thirteen years on the pastoral staff at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Junction City, Oregon, and seventeen years as certified nursing assistant in eldercare and hospice settings, I’ve jumped into the deep end of the writing pool. I’ve written a novel, my first, but not last! I’m enthralled by sharing Christ through relatable characters working their way through life’s struggles. 

Supporting this new adventure is my wonderful husband of thirty-seven years, Darrell. I love you more than air, my sweet! Our goofy little dog, Reggie, keeps me sitting outside, waiting…and waiting. Darrell and I are so thankful for our blended family, four grown children, and eight grandchildren from two to twenty-six who call us Grandma and Grandpa. 

Serving the Lord through pastoral ministry within a congregation was one of the greatest honors of my life. Caring for people during the most challenging seasons of their lives was very fulfilling as well. This new direction is a leap of faith, and I’m excited by the transformation of my call to share the love of Christ from the congregational setting into writing and creating works of fiction.
